Grant writing taught me to understand organisations. You cannot simply describe what an organisation does. You have to understand its objectives, its processes, its constraints and the evidence behind its work. Then you connect those pieces into one clear story.
I bring that same discipline to systems work today.
I don’t start by asking which tool to use. I start by asking what is actually happening. I listen to how people work. I map how information moves. I look for the places where work becomes unclear or repetitive. Only then do I decide where better workflows, integration, automation or AI can genuinely help.
