Want to see how we think before you ever speak to us?

Choosing someone to work on your systems is an act of trust. You are letting them into how your organisation works. You should be able to judge their thinking first.

The Royalty Canon is the set of volumes that define how Royalty thinks, looks, writes and works. Three public editions are shared here. Each one is open for reading and reference.

Read them in any order. Start with the one that answers the question you are asking today.

Royalty Canon Public Editions

VOLUME I

The Constitution of Royalty. Founding Edition 1.0. (Public Edition)

Why does Royalty exist, and what will it refuse to do?

Royalty began with an observation. A growing business found that its technology had stopped helping it and started holding it back.

No one lacked ambition. The systems had simply stopped growing with the organisation.

The Constitution is the first volume of the Canon. It sets out why we exist, what we believe and how we see. It explains the order in which we work. It also lists what we will not do, even when following those rules costs us the work.

You will find six beliefs, the Royalty Question, eight working principles and eight refusals. You will also find how Royalty and Smart Pathways Institute relate to each other.

This volume is for leaders deciding whether to trust us. It is also for anyone who wants to understand our method.

VOLUME VI

The Founder's Journal· Public Edition

What does the Founder say about why Royalty began?

In September 2026, Luqman Segun Eyitayo answered eight questions about why Royalty exists and how it works. These pages share his answers in his own words.

He writes about his experience at Gamaal. He explains why the company is called Royalty. He describes how copywriting and grant writing shaped his approach to systems. He also says what Royalty will never do, even if it would win the work.

“We would rather lose a project than win it by solving the wrong problem.”

This volume is for readers who want to know the person behind the practice.

VOLUME VII

The Royalty Lexicon. Founding Edition 1.0 · Public Edition

What do we mean when we use these words?

Royalty uses some ordinary words in a particular way. This glossary sets out what we mean by them.

That way, a leader reading our work and every consultant who joins us mean the same thing by the same word.

Terms are grouped under four headings. They cover the institution, the thinking, the practice and our writing. You will find definitions for the invisible system, friction, handover and the Royalty Question, among others.

This volume is short. It works well as a companion to the other two.

Continue the conversation

If these volumes described something you recognise in your own organisation, there are two easy next steps.

Take the Royalty Systems Clarity Audit. Twenty-five questions, about five minutes. It shows where clarity exists in your organisation and where friction may be developing.

Or start a conversation with us. Tell us what is happening. A person reads every message and replies personally, usually within one working day.
